　　The introduction paragraph is recommended to include the following contents:

　　1、Introduce the writer’s intention of this argument;

　　2、Brief the main idea of the passage

　　(Better to mention author and title of the passage in the essay);

　　3、List the most relevant evidence/reasoning/stylistic or persuasive

　　elements the writer uses to support his or her argument.

　　Each paragraph contains a topic sentence, which introduces the whole paragraph in brief, and an elaboration on a specific device in detail.

　　1、Cite the device or tool you are going to elaborate in the paragraph;

　　2、Explain what it is in the essay and what meaning or idea it carries;

　　3、Analyze the effect on essay interms of appealing to reason;

　　4、Analyze the effect on readers in terms of appealing to emotion;

　　5、And others.

　　Unlike many other types of writing, the resigned SAT essay does not demand a deeper insight to the future or whatsoever. The students need only to repeat in a paraphrasing manner the following:

　　1、The main idea of the passage;

　　2、The tools the writer uses to make his or her argument persuasive;

　　3、If time allows, the intention of the writer and the effects of the tools employed.
